Dairy Cow

Dairy Cow
By Melody Beerbower, March 19, 2013

There once was a young cow named Cherry,
Who was milked by Farmer Larry.
He made the milk with ease
Into butter and cheese.
Said the young cow to another, "How dare he!"

February 8, Poem # 27 Miss Muffet and Jack Horner

Miss Muffet and Jack Horner
By Melody Beerbower

There once was a girl named Miss Muffet
Who sat all day on her tuffet.
No one ever sat beside her,
Except the occasional spider
She really had to rough it.

There once was a boy named Jack Horner
Who spent most of his time in the corner.
He liked Christmas pies,
And Miss Muffet's eyes
If fact, he really adored her.

With little Miss Muffet away,
Jack sat on her tuffet to play.
She was shock to learn
Upon her return
That he was sitting in her whey.

Said Miss Muffet a little unkind
"I say! Young man, do you mind?
On sitting yourself in this seat,
You sat on the food I would eat,
Were it not spread all over behind."

Jack jumped up when he heard,
Exclaiming, "Oh my word!"
"That I'd be in your way
When I sat down to play,
The thought to me never occurred."

January 19, Poem #11 Wilbur Limerick

There once was a boy named Wilbur,
Whose face looked much like a gofer.
He was remarkably kind,
And didn't really mind-
Until he began to grow fur.

I know. I know. It's dumb. I had a better poem, but I have to add more to it. Maybe I'll post it another time.

Random Limericks

Writing limericks is a fun pastime. Here are a few I've written.

There once was a man named Fred,
Who slept standing on his head.
When people would question,
He'd say, "It's good for my digestion.
At least that's what I've read."

There once was a cat named Mcfee,
Who got himself stuck in a tree.
He let out a yelp,
And call for help,
But no one heard his plea.

Soon a man came to the tree,
Which held as a prisoner Mcfee.
With getting the cat unstuck
He didn't have much luck.
So the cat stayed there permanently.

I know they're not that exciting. If I finish the story I'm writing I'll post that next. The title of it is The Day I Met Myself. (Compliments of Rebekah Zellers)
