Midnight Prowler
By Melody Beerbower, to be read in a soft, deep voice and with the lights turned down low.
A warm soft breeze
Drifting, drifting
As I stare out the window
Lis'ning, lis'ning
A sudden creak
A sudden sqwak
A shifting shadow
A broken lock
A red light glows
And what just happened
Nobody knows...
As you read my blog, if you forget for a while all the cares of the day, if you smile a reluctant smile or laugh at what I say , if you see through my silliness and find a glimpse of God, I will consider my job well done.

January 29, Poem # 19
Shifting clouds
Pale lights
A chill crawls up my back
I feel a presence behind me
Preparing to attack
Spinning around
Heart thumps
Releaved to find
It is nothing but
My over active mind.
Pale lights
A chill crawls up my back
I feel a presence behind me
Preparing to attack
Spinning around
Heart thumps
Releaved to find
It is nothing but
My over active mind.

January 28, Poem #18 Mystery
Mystery
By Melody Beerbower
Glowering, gloomy lights
Shadowy, shifting trees
Oppressing, ominous silence
Sultry slithering breeze
Dark and stormy nights
Touching, tragic history
Barbaric, broken trust
Intricate, encrypted messages
Horrible, hardened crust
Mystifying, mystical mystery
